Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police to DUI instances in Charleston led to an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year award for all South Carolina media. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell's current role as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
